For quite a while I’ve been working only with analog black-and-white photography, using a 1930s Agfa box camera.
The play of light and shadow reflects my search for balance and the hidden sides of myself. The physical, emotional, and psychological changes shaped by hormones and transition are at the heart of my life and my art. Through self-portraits, I explore these transformations – embodying both subject and object, self-perception and the gaze of others.
