




For several years now, I have dedicated myself exclusively to analog black-and-white photography, working with an Agfa box camera from the 1930s. This hybrid device—a cross between a camera obscura and a very simple camera—I affectionately call my Lichtfalle (light trap).
The interplay of negative and positive, light and shadow, reflects my search for balance and my attempt to reveal the hidden aspects of my inner self. These images are expressions of my shadow self
and resonate profoundly with my lived experience as a transsexual person and my ongoing transition. The physical, emotional, and psychological changes shaped by hormones and transformation have become central themes in my life and my art.
